The backwoods Bash is a yearly camping festival at Keystone Lake, outside Tulsa. It was my first year to go and I had a great time. I don’t do too well in the heat but thankfully the water cooled me down. There was tons of music, the tickets were cheap and you get to bring your own beverages – three big wins. I had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed Sam and the Stylees, 11 Fingered Chalie and the Red Dirt Rangers. My favorite of the night was the Moai Broadcast. They closed it down with a very trancy, jazzy set including covers of Floyd and Phish, two of my favorites.
